Abstract

The article titled "Advances in Solid Mechanics and Composites" discusses the fifth Indian Conference on Applied Mechanics (INCAM-2022) and its focus on various areas of applied mechanics, including solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, and biomechanics. The conference provided a platform for researchers and academicians to present their work and discuss the field of applied mechanics. This special issue of the Defence Science Journal comprises select articles from INCAM-2022, covering topics such as unified mechanics theory, damage-healing models, composites, material modeling, impact dynamics, and creep in metal alloys. The articles underwent a rigorous peer review process before being accepted for publication. The author expresses gratitude to all the contributors, reviewers, and the editorial team for their valuable contributions to this special issue.
